a wonderful experience where the whole group works together as a villiage to create something that we then enjoy feasting on all together at the end of the day. in the morning we allocate roles - wood choppers, kindling collectors, fire builders & lighters, bakers and foragers.

it was momentous occasion for us as, after months of concocting plans and preparations, we saw our first cohort of trainees enter through the k.i.n gates and make their way down the path and into the forest to embark on their year long journey to becoming forest school facilitators…

with our monthly warriors group, we got to know elderflower and other plants through a sensory blindfold game where you could only use your sense of smell and touch. it brought the children into a quiet, mindful state and a natural flury of joyful exclamations and curious questions…

this was our first summer of running five camps in a row! It was such a joy to be fully back in the forest and to witness how much the children thrive from being in this environment…

our ‘natural musicians and storytelling workshop’ last month saw a group of adults - facilitators from our k.i.n team, other local ‘forest school’ practitioners and teachers from pre-schools as well as parents/carers - gather in a sun-filled woods to play and make music together…
