k.i.n was founded in
‘two thousand and seventeen’
… by a group of volunteer parents who wanted to embrace ‘epping forest’ on their doorsteps. rhiannon was contracted at the very beginning to facilitate two weekly ‘forest school' groups and the rest they say is history.
we are based in bushwood, leytonstone and have around five hundred different children and adults participating each year. many of these are long term attendees so the project has a real sense of community.
it is with the empowerment of witnessing the positive impact connecting with nature has had for participants and for ourselves personally that we take the project forward to be part of an alternative educational movement in britain that is also now being embraced by the mainstream.
