what does our home education group entail?

in line with forest school pedagogy, this is a long-term weekly programme. it will consist of day long drop off sessions for school age seven to eleven. ‘k.i.n’ offer nature based exploration, rooted in the forest school approach, giving children the chance to connect to themselves, each other and nature. the changing seasons and natural resources that are available in abundance inspire each day. we blend nature based learning and play and experiment with new nature based skills and ways of understanding and exploring the plant and animal kingdoms. in keeping with the forest school approach, activities unfold in response to interests of the children and needs of the group as well as what is happening in nature. nature based skills, crafts, stories, songs & games are supported and guided by qualified and experienced facilitators .

this is all held within a self-contained private woodland where the children really have the space to be free and access deep play and learning which is a rare thing to find in london.

what are parents saying about us?

"my son (now 7years old) has been attending 'kinship in nature’s forest school' since he was a toddler - starting with us in attendance and now going independently - and he absolutely loves it.
it’s a friendly and inviting atmosphere and the children get to learn all about plants, animals, nature and its cycles. they learn practical skills and crafts, as well as enjoying a good-old campfire sing-song.
as londoners it’s really important for us to have our son immersed in nature as much as possible - and all the mud that comes with it. the professionalism, enthusiasm and care put into the sessions by the team is incredible! plus they do a great job keeping us informed about the daily activities, so it really makes us feel involved and part of the family" - kinship grown-up
