what do we do in the forest every week?
we have developed these sessions for the whole family ~ they are as much for the grown ups as little people.
we offer weekly nature based exploration, rooted in the forest school approach, giving our kinship the chance to connect to themselves, each other and nature in a supportive environment held by experienced facilitators with training in ‘forest school’, nature connection, holistic baby & childcare and childhood development. in line with the forest school approach, activities unfold in response to interests of the kinship and the needs of the group.
nature based skills, crafts, stories, songs & games are supported and guided by qualified and experienced facilitators.
who are our facilitators?
our weekday sessions are led by rosalyn and karen, both level 3 trained forest school facilitators. our sessions have been carefully developed to weave forest school and nature connection practice (including song, story-telling, and gratitude) to facilitate a space where our kinship can explore & connect with each other and the natural world. learn more about our story here.

what are parents saying about us?
“instilling a confidence, knowledge about and love of nature would be the overall aim (of the sessions) for me. and it’s working already… my kids are completely changed for the experience. what they talk about, how they play, how they interact with trees, the earth, flowers. building a local community of people who care about nature and a slower way of parenting. gaining confidence and knowledge (me and the kids!) in the natural environment. finally having something brilliant for kids in leytonstone! watching my kids beam with pleasure using tools, building dens, climbing trees. spending quality time… bringing bites of forest school into our everyday lives!” lucy (kinship mother)
