many of the occassions we know today, such as ‘halloween’, ‘easter’ and ‘christmas’ have their origins in ancient celtic festivals. these were celebrations amongst communities of people who were in close relationship with the natural world and who knew their survival was dependent on it. we are harking back to these old ways and reimaging them in the 21st century to mark and honour the seasons and the nature-based traditions of times past through the ‘wheel of the year’ amongst the trees with storytelling, live music, crafts, ceremony and fire.

we hope people come away from these events with an understanding of the unique essence and qualities of nature’s seasons and a sense of the roots, deeper meanings and history behind familiar celebrations. we believe something precious and vital is lost when cultural nature-based traditions stop being passed down from one generation to the next and this is our gesture towards renewing the ancient celtic ones of these lands.
